About Katherine Weir
A graduate of Brown University, attorney Katherine Weir entered Cornell Law School in 2001. Following the completion of her JD in 2004, Katherine Weir accepted a position as an Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobsen LLP in New York and spent two years with the firm.
In 2006, Katherine Weir joined WilmerHale in Boston, where she is currently a Senior Associate. Focused on corporate and securities law, Katherine Weir works largely with clients in the medical device and life sciences areas, and she is experienced in representing both private and public companies.
In addition, Katherine Weir’s concentrations encompass venture capital financing and public securities offerings. Katherine Weir also provides advice on corporate legal matters ranging from federal securities reporting requirements to corporate governance issues.
Outside the office, Katherine Weir is an active cyclist and enjoys travel and language study. Katherine Weir reaches out to others by making contributions to the Human Rights Campaign, Greater Boston Legal Services, and GLAD. Moreover, Katherine Weir has provided pro bono legal services over the course of her career to the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and to multiple organizations that assist victims of domestic violence.
